About Us

The National Commission for Exceptional Schools (NCES) was founded on the premise that education should be tailored to promote the individual, not the facility. 

 

To that end, educational programs sanctioned by the NCES need not be offered in a conventional "brick-and-mortar" setting.  Our schools range from traditional facilities to online education courses that encourage entrepreneurship and enhance future employment opportunities.

Schools  accredited by the Commission  providing both

Independent and private programs are required to meet consistently rigorous standards and demonstrate continued progressive advancement.

 

The standards prescribed by the Commission are patterned after acknowledged and accepted standards of successful educational institutions and organizations.
